Combining the past two nights.

Have scoured the area around me. I’m staying a block or two away from the Sheraton, in the middle of the entertainment area. More of the middle of the tourist zone. I start out at a regular bar close to me, called H’Jen’s & Bob’s Place. About $2 a beer, San Miguel, Tiger Light, and local beers. Had a local beer called 333 last night, was a little bitter but good. Next tried Saigon Bar. I drink just about everything, was around 8 beers deep, and it still tasted like crap. I did notice that the beers in the regular and lady bars cost the same – $2.

Agogos are nowhere to be found. An american guy told me there are strip / entertainment clubs but you have to know a local to get in. Everything else is “coffee shops”. You walk in and there’s a bunch of ladies sitting in the front. Can drink, play pool, whatever. The first night I went to 49 bar, had 7 ladies. One beautiful, 23yr old, 5’7″ no babies, bleached blonde hair. Not my type, but I had to get her a drink and play pool. The offer: If I win, she takes clothes off. If I lose, I give her $5 tip. She has to be a pool shark, but I usually have 1-2 good games in me until I start drinking. I win and she’s not happy. She takes her top off, nice firm breasts. Then she puts it back on! I thought she was going to play the next game naked, but guess not. I pay and leave.

Next place, Two Sister’s Bar / Hai Chi Em. 14 ladies. Good selection, I sit down and order a beer. I have one come over and immediately spot damage. I tell her no thank you, but she doesn’t understand. The mama asks me what’s wrong and I say the lady has a baby, mama says no. Like I can’t spot that. I point to the girls stomach and make the baby motion, the lady walks away. I then tell the mama exactly the type of lady I like, the guy next to me laughs. Turns out this guy’s from Holland, lives in Hanoi (north Vietnam) and has a Pattaya girl with him. We chat for a bit, he tells me that Hanoi is better: better looking women, cheaper, less chance of getting ripped off. BTW – the vietnamese girls here are really good looking. I’m just picky.

I’m getting quoted $30-$40 for ST. I guess that’s the going rate for bars. Similar to Laos, hotels don’t allow female guests with foreigners. I’m staying at a smaller hotel that does, otherwise could expect extra for that. Depending on the rain, going to hit more bars or a disco tonight. Should have seen enough after tonight to have realistic expectations.

Also – it feels good to get out of Nana and Cowboy. I love agogos, but feeling like their overpriced. Will probably make AC my next trip, whenever that is.
